Manufacto is a new program from the Hermès Foundation : it consists of a skill factory aimed at raising young people’s awareness about opportunities in the artisan trades. Started in 2016, craftsmen intervene in classes of pupils from elementary schools, secondary and high schools in order to introduce youngsters to the world of artisanship, about its raw materials, expertise, and the culture of the fine hand-crafted object. For Manufacto, we have designed objects like ottoman, pouch, portable speaker, purse, toolbox, travel lamp, stool, wood lamp or pencil case. They have been produced in classes by the students, in partnership with the craftsmen.

partnership with Fondation d’entreprise Hermès, les Compagnons du devoir, Rectorat de Paris, studio brichet ziegler & Ecole Camondo.
